ELICOS - Pre-Intermediate English

This course is designed for students with some language experience. It builds upon Elementary
studies and aims to rapidly progress English proficiency.

Some examples of pre-intermediate skills include understanding a simple interview, guessing
the meaning of words and phrases, asking for opinions and writing a formal e-mail.
This course will be delivered and assessed via classroom delivery, listening, speaking, reading,
and written assessments.

After successfully completing this course, students will be at approximately IELTS 3.5 – 4.5
or equivalent level. Successfully completing the Intermediate English course at The Bright
College will also allow students to progress to 117779K Upper-Intermediate English at The
Bright College.

IELTS of 5.0-6.0 or equivalent if packaging ELICOS with a VET course.
No minimum IELTS Requirement if only studying ELICOS
