This qualification reflects the role of workers who are middle managers or managers across a range of community sector organizations. These people work independently and report to executive management, directors or boards of management. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with the organization’s goals and strategic directions.

At this level, workers have responsibility for planning and monitoring service delivery, recruitment and performance management of other paid or unpaid workers, managing risk and contributing to continuous improvement within the scope of their specific role. This may include management of specific programs or projects, or broader management of a community-based organization, early childhood education service, not-for-profit organisation or community centre.

This CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management is delivered over a period of 52 weeks, including the work 12 weeks including holidays

This course duration includes a combination of workplace-based activities, tasks, workplace based and independent projects, self-study, work placement, and scheduled classroom/workshop sessions.

This leadership-focused course is aimed at candidates wishing to enhance their careers in a leadership role within community services or to pursue higher studies.

The Bright College’s clients for this qualification will be international students holding a current Australian student visa to study onshore within Australia, who are seeking to upgrade their skills and further their academic and career prospects with the community services or aged care sectors.

  • Student progressing from related certificate level qualifications  
  • Limited or no work experience in the field/sector (e.g., casual student work, work placements in prior qualifications)
  • Career and higher education aspirations/goals

Based on enrolling student profiles and prior learning, The Bright College shall endeavour to group students with similar profiles and provide learning support to students as part of its student support.

To enroll in this course, students must:

  • Be 18 years or older at the time of commencement.
  • Have successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Provide evidence of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
  • Hold a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier).

All students must complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to enrolment. The test assesses your foundational skills in learning, reading, writing, oral communication, and numeracy at ACSF Level 3. This test helps us identify if additional learning support is required,

Face-to-Face 3 days per week (20 hours per week)

On successful completion of CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services, students may pursue further study opportunities by enrolling in a higher-level management course
